About jaime rozen
Statement As in life, I take an existentialist approach in regard to art. Consequently, my current body of work is a relative representation of truth through abstract visual information. In essence, I believe abstract to be the purest self-assertion of man, always truth, relative and interpreted singularly. The artworks could be described as systems generated from intuition and driven by the interaction of the concepts: Thing, Place and space. In turn, the process of execution becomes an exploration of the relativity of the whole. That is, asserting that our perception is composed by a series of individualities added up to form a whole obtaining meaning from value and hierarchy. As a result, the evolution of these individualities into history reveals itself in the artwork providing a reading of its own development into a system. I consider paint the essence of painting and believe it must follow not proceed, an estimation of its own existence. My use of paint is crude and purposeful, enhancing its value and respecting its properties. The content of my artwork is not absolute, it extends and invitation for speculation, interaction, and observation with granted freedom of interpretation. Hence, the interpretations are always truth, all systems, which liveliness develops in the viewer's intellect.
