About Valery Koroshilov
The winner of The Artist of The Year Award 2010, Valery Koroshilov is a British/Russian artist based in London and exhibiting internationally. Works primarily in oil, and focuses on corporate and private commissions. Recent solo exhibitions include Standard Chartered Bank, London (2009) and Baker Tilly International HQ, London (2010).
An independent artist working in a variety of media, Valery Koroshilov has achieved recognition and success in 1992 when a collection of his architecturally inspired graphic works received an ILC Award in New York. Since then, he exhibits regularly in Europe, and in the last 15 years participated in more than 100 shows worldwide:
In 2000 my first pictures had been sold at the auctions-on-line on the Sothebys.com and included into the BritArt Directory, 2001.
In 2004 my painting Masquerade has been chosen to represent the Annual Chelsea Art Fair and, as a result, has been widely featured in the national press including The Times, The World of Interiors, The London Guide, and The Sunday Times.
Presented by Britart.com, several paintings had been shown at the prestigious Classic FM Festival aux Quat'Saisons, where they accompanied the performances of some of the most creative classical musicians of our time: Emma Johnson, the Sorrel Quartet and Julian Lloyd Webber.
In 2005 a British Fine Art Publisher produced a Portfolio of Limited Edition Prints featuring 12 images based on my original paintings (Post Impressions, Aliasart).
I have just completed a major project for the P&O Company, where the designers of the new UK's biggest luxury cruise ship "Ventura" commissioned me to create 36 paintings and murals.
Dame Helen Mirren officially opened it in April 2008.
Recent solo exhibitions include Standard Chartered Bank London (2009) and Baker Tilly London (2010).
