About The Artwork
This ad for Howard Johnson's came out after the birth of the Interstate system, and it was meant to capture that feeling of limitless travels and new experiences. I took this image and exaggerated the sentiment of the wide-open road to depict a diner in the snowy alps. The window that the child is gazing out of was a clear plastic sheet found in a computer keyboard, which represents today's modern "highways".
