Part of my Alan Turing Series of Commemorative Portraits. 'Turing Code' is a fusion of Typography, Computer generated displacement Effects and Pop Art Stylised Spot Painting backgrounds - in this case a rainbow coloured Spotty British Union Flag - a Surreal Pop, New Media Collage of equations, binary code, fibanacci numbers and pattern formations based on his experimental work on the Chemical Basis of Morphogenesis plus notes from Alan Turing's life. Alan Mathison Turing, OBE, FRS was a British mathematician, logician, cryptanalyst, philosopher, computer scientist, mathematical biologist, and marathon and ultra distance runner. He was highly influential in the development of computer science, providing a formalisation of the concepts of "algorithm" and "computation" with the Turing machine, which can be considered a model of a general purpose computer. Turing is widely considered to be the father of theoretical computer science and artificial intelligence.
