About The Artwork
Influenced by the photography of Alfred Cheney Johnston who took images of the Ziegfeld follies, I was interested to find out about the lives of these women in the book Jazz age Beauties by Robert Hudovernik I was struck by how strong a character many of these women possessed and their ability to adapt and change to the circumstances that faced them.
