About The Artwork
This was from a series I made based on photographs I took of children in one of the largest slums in Nairobi. The stripes they are interacting with are actually computer glitches I captured and re-colored. Much like the glitches, these slums are not supposed to happen, are "illegal", yet seemingly impossible to prevent. A body of people fall between the lines of policy, charity, and realistic hope.
