BIOGRAPHY Roberto Fontana was born in Cambiano (Italy) in 1969. In 2000 he studied painting and drawing with Zhou Brothers at the International Summer Academy of Fine Arts in Hallein, Austria. In the same year, in Palermo, he took part in the work-shop of engraving and printing with Rene' Taze' and Elisabeth Bascou. In 2001 and 2002 he studied action-painting under Hermann Nitsch, winning a grant, and drawing and painting with the venezuelan artist Jacobo Borges, at the Summer Academy of Fine Art in Salzburg. From 1999 to 2001 he studied techniques of engraving and lithography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo. In 2006 he collaborated to realize the scenography and costumes of the theatrical musical ''Corleone, La Storia di Filippo Latino''.
