From the collection "Sotto le Stelle" exhibited Goulburn NSW and Sydney, Australia. Original sold at exhibition.
Sotto Le Stelle in Italian means, Under The Stars.
The ancient Egyptians and Greeks shaped the worlds consciousness by creating stories, naming the stars and constellations after gods, deities and the fates of humankind. These ancient cultures understood intuitively that a universe resides inside all of us, a universe that is mirrored in the cosmos.
‘Kosmos’ is a Greek word meaning both universe and people or world.
The paintings from this exhibition are little windows, fragments that comprise of and reflect under the stars. They are a microscopic slice of the infinite cosmos of existence. With all my work, I endeavor to bring into awareness the connectivity of all things. The singular organism that we are all a part of, the necessary cycles of life, death; presence and absence.
