Confined Elegance Painting

Experimental, psychedelic, pop-art, futurist, primitive, Antony's work seems to delight in defying categorisation. It is clearly informed by the very best of all the major art movements; some may detect glimpses of Picasso, Ernst, Kandinsky or the language of cartoons. It may also seem to evoke the natural world and complex geometries suggestive of crop circles or fractals for example, though it doesn't employ any mathematical technique as such. Despite this, the work is not deliberately derived from other influences. And it is not concerned with making statements about things, creating narratives, and certainly doesn't require explanations to justify it's existence. It is concerned with pure visual impact, a celebration of form, colour and expression.
