Mystery, silence, solitude and introspection: just like in a dream, the series "Wrecks" invites us to discover the mysterious silence of the seafloor, the light rays that suggest the surface and the remains of a sunken ship. They are seemingly useless objects and still the undisputed stars of the work. Salome seems to invite us to a treasure hunt, accompanying us on a diving trip to ourselves. However, the real treasures are the feelings that emanate from each of these canvases. The image is slow, timeless and non-thermal, but full of nuances and muffled sounds that the artist offers us and we must observe. Every now and again these works are suddenly interrupted by the striking and elegant movement of marine animals that fascinate the artist: the devilfish. Their movement is like the vital spirit, a beautiful impulse to the series of “Wrecks” evoking irredeemably mysticism, silence, the subconscious, the inner peace. The series 'WRECKS' was inspired by the novel "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" by Jules Verne and the sculpture "The Matter of Time" by Richard Serra.
