About The Artwork
Dripping technique was used by Jackson Pollock after he moved to Springs. He began painting over big canvases laid out his home. Drip technique was finally most popular way of painting for him. He was well know as “Jack the Dripper”. After many months looking Pollock’s artwork I decided to create this piece of art in Summer 2010 considering Pollock’s way of painting. This paint over wood started combinig just few colors range, based on black,white and greys. Once first version was created, the color came out hiding an aye looking a nude woman. Living in Sitges,a little village close to Barcelona,is not very difficult to get the inspiration of painting, surrounded by a huge number of artists living over here always ready to support any artistic movement. Since my early years painting not "very usual" thoughts, I felt inspiration studying a number of great masters of painting like Picasso, Antoni Tapies, Jackson Pollock or Cy Twombly. Most of them inspired me to start drawing step by step. Abstract paiting is for me one of the most important ways to communicate with other people. Not very usual, but it's me. My feelings are always an important part of the work although you never know if dreams inside the work are coming or gone. I was born in Barcelona August 10th, 1968.
