Hello, I have worked as a professional artist and art teacher for 30 years. Throughout the years my work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and my work hangs in many collections, institutions and estates. I combine patterns, symbols and text to create work of both physical and emotional depth, complexity and beauty. The images flow and shift according to interests and interweave with dialogue and subject matter. I enjoy the freedom of working with mixed media. I experiment with a range of materials including twine, textiles, beads, glass and collage. I prefer finished pieces to have a weathered, textured appearance embedded upon a rich sensual surface. My work has been described as a visual meditation of life and both calms and compels a bit like yin and yang.
