Political suppression Painting

My main focus in art is human portraits and figures. Humans have been the main subjects of my artwork ever since I was a student. Currently, I am working on a project called “Under Nylon” – Homo Sapiens envisaged as trapped under nylon, expressing strong gesticulation as if he is fighting for air. I am researching psychotic human conditions and try to represent different human emotions by using nylon as a symbollic element. Nylons simbolize depression, suppression and frustration, but also stand for cultural suppression, as depicted in the work ,,National Museum”. Despite all the modern technological inventions and despite the fact we live in an age of rapid information growth, people have now hit the rock bottom of solitude. Even though we have the possibility to communicate with each other across the entire planet, our surrounding world makes us more depressed and lonelier than ever.
