'Red Trees' Painting

I am an artist who loves to translate the beauty and transient quality of the landscape in different ways. Here on my 'Abstract Landscape' channel the current landscapes are a series of walking adventures where I 'Abstract On Location' the essence of the walk. I paint and walk, sit and paint in the landscape or go home and paint. These are small works with a story of the everyday in terms of colour and light and other miscellaneous things that happen along the way when you walk. A bit like a visual journal or diary. Does our place and space define us or do we define it? Every landscape is unique, different and beautiful. I attempt to capture that beauty not only visually but in a sensory way. Often the paintings have a textural quality mirroring the landscape textures, allowing you to touch the experience! I work in with mixed media techniques but also in individual mediums' such as Watercolour, Oils and Acrylics. Each has it's own natural qualities with which something different can be said about the landscape and the experience of it. I am also a print-maker. Print-making is is a wonderful way to get abstract interest in the work.
