Kayla Cloonan was born and raised in South Florida, beginning visual experimentation in film photography. Kayla received a B.F.A. in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2013. Kayla’s most recent solo exhibition was at Shoebox Projects in Los Angeles, CA, a culmination of an artist residency in the space May 2019. Kayla has presented in a variety of group shows across the U.S. including a duo exhibition at EN EM Art Space in Sacramento, CA. Previous representation at EN EM Art Space. LA Art Association artist. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Kayla has temporarily returned to their hometown, running the studio full-time.
