"The last film Cocteau directed follows the experience of an 18th-century poet in a quest for divine wisdom outside of time and reality "http://www.moma.org/visit/calendar/film_screenings/17669 Testament of Orpheus (Le testament d'Orphée), directed and starring Jean Cocteau, represents the third part of his Orphic Trilogy. Is Cocteau's last film in black-and-white but includes a few seconds of colour. Cocteau explores the complex relationship between the artist and his creations, about his death and resurrection. In Cast appear: Jean Marais, Charles Aznavour, Jean Pierre Leaud, Françoise Sagan, Yul Brynner and Pablo Picasso and, last muse and wife, Jacqueline Roque. The Cocteau's contribition as a film theorist appears in "Testament" dialogues. "A film is a petrifying source of thought. A film revives dead acts. A fill allows one to give a semblance of reality to unreality". The phrases and sentences following my thoughts about this painting and it aligns in my conceptual structure and my conceptual framework. http://capimans.com/el-testamento-de-orfeo/
