One of Louisville's less celebrated and consequently less groomed cemeteries. This infrared scene adds colors and texture that draw you into a new way to experience the late afternoon sun on a quiet field of mourning.

John Fitzgerald began his independent free-lance career in 1994 after 10 years of service as a studio photographer. Projects ranged from national catalog production to local retail and fashion photography. As a free-lancer, John continued his commercial career while simultaneously venturing into editorial publication. In addition to providing image solutions for regional businesses and ad agencies, John made repeated contributions to Ladies Home Journal, Black Enterprise, Slam, Louisville Magazine, GM Works, and more. At Fitzio, Inc., John also provides clients with copywriting and concept development. In addition to photography, John also developed skills as web designer and in 1995 was the first professional photographer in Louisville to post images on the web while working with Internet Sports, Inc. John is a former faculty member of the Commercial Art Department at Jefferson Community College. John is a former member of Pyro Gallery and has exhibited his photographic prints there, as well as Vincenzo's and The Huff Gallery. Many of John's most successful exhibitions include some variation of technique using digital infrared imaging. Recently, John began to pursue his dreams of being a filmmaker. His first film released in August 2010 was a finalist in the LinkTV international film competition.
