I am a long time resident of Los Angeles California. I was first inspired by the works of  Pollock, Kandinsky, Mondrian and Stella. I experimented with abstract expressionism and studied Ceramics with Jim Romberg at The Sun Valley Center for the Arts and Humanities in Sun Valley, Idaho. I also apprenticed with Sculptor Jan Van Leeuwen in the Netherlands. After beginning studies in Illustration at the Academy of Art in San Francisco I eventually transferred to The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, where I attained a Bachelors Degree in Illustration. As a commercial artist my clients included The Disney Company, ABC and TBS. In 1989 I began a career in the fledgling computer games industry working as a concept artist and 3D production artist for Sierra Online, Electronic Arts, The 3DO Company, Sega Soft and The Disney Company.     Having had several decades of experience creating digital illustrations and three dimensional models, I became very interested in using those digital tools in a different way. The new digital environment makes it possible for me to take advantage of the incredible malleability that is inherent in the digital work space, and to be able to take that work from the digital space into the physical world. I am currently using photography and digital software to create both representational and non representational art. Today's print technology allows me to do this with a very high degree of sophistication and nuance.   I have transitioned from a 20 year career in interactive games where my creative process was one of incremental predictability and collaboration to a process that now embraces chaos and individuality.
