About The Artwork
* Grandma classic *was created from fireclay in the technique of ceramics. In 2008 sculpture took 1st prize at the Ukrainian Sculpture Triennial. In 2011 Grandma was installed in the Shevchenko park in Kyiv. Since then, she lives a busy life - takes care of children playing near her on the playground, listens to candid stories of customers of the restaurant nearby, substitutes cheeks for kisses of passers-by and tolerates petty hooligans. The sculpture is made of warm material and in a human size, which gives a complete illusion of life to the grotesque image of Grandma. In the online-Saatchi gallery presents the first version of the grandmother, sculpted in 2008
