About The Artwork
A work from the stoneboat series exploring the idea of memories - both personal and cultural - which each of us carry with us through our life. Italian, Spanish, Belgian, and Alabama marbles are used here to suggest the memory of adolescent fantasies of exploration and adventure (and rescuing princesses!) on the Mars of Edgar Rice Burroughs. The red marble hull can be removed from a threaded rod going through the white and black marble base element.
