About The Artwork

To carry on with his work on computing and perception systems, Damien Aspe makes a 3D representation of the famous game Tetris, created in 1985 by the Russian, Alexey Pajitov. Freely distributed in USSR and in Eastern Europe, the game appears in 1986 in Western Europe, commercialized by the Russian Government under the title From Russia with fun refering to the 1963 James Bond movies. Tetris becomes an international success. At the end of the Cold War, the game was considered as an USSR weapon because it represented a loss of time and productivity for the Occidental world. Today, Tetris is still aviable on every video console and iPod.Inversing the reading sense and putting the spectator in the center of the

My work is based on computer science and its devices in the tradition of minimalism and conceptual art.
I work a lot on the computer language and the three-dimensional representation of computer science.
I try to reverse the meaning of reading and to place the spectator at the heart of the technological system.
