About Manuela Torres Garca
My work regards the contemporary issue concerning the construction of subjectivity, genders and identities. This one is intended to raise a contemporary critical of the boundaries between what is normal or pathological, which constitutes and colonizes our innermost being. My work is a search for those bodies which dare to find ways to subvert these limits and idealize themselves in other ways, along the history and in these moments. A search for new self-incarnations among pleasure, irony and parody.
