I was born in Cleveland Ohio. I Studied at Ohio University with Painter Gary Peitigrew and Sculptor David Hostatler. I had my first solo show at the Cleveland City Hall. My search for freedom lead me to New York in 1984.I felt a
need to exhibit my work. I discovered that the art world an the studio world had little to do with each other. At this time my work began to reflected my new enviroment. I attended classes at the Art Students Leauge in NY for one year,I exhibited my work in soho at Ward-Nasse Gallery for a International Salon.
Upon my return to Cleveland, I continued to push the bounderies of my abstract paintings and sculpture. I have had over 10 exhibitons in local galleries. The Chealsea Gallery was one of my largest shows.
In 1991 I decied to tour Western Europe, returning to Cleveland with a bold new energy and
a blend of african, european and middle eastern style. I call it persian abstract impressionism.
The stone age color is a major element of the autonomous world most painters were
exceptional colorist, Their colors were made from rich henna's,dyes and gounded stones into powder to make paint adding a certin element which could be painted. My jewelry in a refection of the same technique painted with my fingers.
I work on three canvases at a time, sometimes I think in tones. I can see certin
inntervals resolving into each other. Some vertical and some horizontal.I think of it
like music. But there is not any translation of music in my paintings. The spirit counterpart seen in," Man behind Buddha" and "Mother with Child"
I have learned to judge conceptual work as a part of the history of ideas.
