Shahaan Ahmed Shah, an artist from Pakistan currently pursuing his MFA in Calgary, has found his creative niche in crafting short poetic documentary films. He has adapted audio-visual storytelling through theatre and previous experience in textile art. His art practice now centres around the exploration of poetic documentary cinema, where he understands and translates the concepts of originality and the intricate nuances of humane drama. Shah's approach involves recognizing time as both the artist and the catalyst, infusing his films with a distinct perception of reality. Using bricolage and poetic expression as his creative tools, he aims to trigger emotional responses.
