My work comes from a focus on landscape, and
on the atmosphere that any scene can conjure. The way I paint follows two basic and opposite trends: the analysis of lines which at the same time break up and form the image- in this case representing natural elements -that generally uses a monochrome and 'pearlescent' background to showcase them on large canvases; and a way to brush which dissolves the image and stretches it inaccurate and fast, without following a
particular theme, but elaborating sensations or just
suggesting emotions, portraying real objects and scenes from everyday life.
Starting from a photorealistic base, in both cases, my research gives way to abstraction; sometimes instead it invests directly the environment, the scene becoming survey and then installing site-specific works, where the protagonist is the space of the exhibition, inside
where paintings can fit in dialogue with the latter.
