Angelo Tassi

Angelo Tassi was born in Bologna and is a graduate of the Bologna Academy of Fine Arts. He has held numerous exhibits of his work both in Italy and abroad. His paintings are permanently on exhibition at the Vatican Gallery of Modern Art; the New England Center for Contemporary Art; the Necca Museum in Brooklyn, C.T. USA; the Art Center Museum in Springfield, Ohio, USA; the Gallery of Modern Art in San Marino (RSM); the museum network of the University of Bologna, in the « IX Centennial Room»; the Gallery of Modern Art in the "MAGI '900" Giulio Bargellini Museum, Pieve di Cento (Bologna).
He illustrated the book Bologna, una Università per l'Europa (Bologna, a University for Europe) for the 9th Centennial Anniversary of the University of Bologna and during the exhibit held in the Aula Magna (1989) to mark the occasion he was conferred the Seal of the Alma Mater Studiorum. He was awarded the Nettuno D’Oro by the Bologna chapter of the Lions Club in 2000. In 2001 he received the "Carlino d'Oro".
