Artist Annett E. Bank is a sensitive, expressionist painter who works predominantely on the subject of the body in motion as her trademark, figurative style. Her attractive work combines masculine & feminine energies and features designs such as dancers, voluptous nudes, curvy back views, romantic couples, as well as beautiful defined males. Her work is exuberant and created in a vibrant, sensual, abstracted way that is characterised by a great diversity of colour, powerful movement, yet gentle, free-flowing rythm and visual harmony.
Produced with palette knife in oil on canvas, these tactile pieces have gradually been layered and seem to stand out in their bold appearance and alive texture .... Annett says her pictures are meant to increase the vibrational frequency of a person who views them, as they trigger feelings of joy, excitement and upliftment, as well as encourage emotional wellbeing and revitalisation.
Annett studied at Northbrook College Sussex and graduated with a degree in Fine Art Painting from the University of Brighton in 2007. After finishing her education, she was selected by the Salon Gallery in Notting Hill, London as one of UK's Best Graduates, exhibited with Orion Contemporary at various Affordable Art Fairs around the UK & abroad, and in 2010 she presented two stunning Solo Shows at the well known Brighton Festival.
