Anshumala Ojha

I am an Indian born, abstract expressionist artist. I was graduated in Fine Arts in Applied Art from GCA, Chandigarh. For me, to paint is to breathe. Ever since my childhood, I had been painting to understand my socio cultural surroundings. Most of my art work is experimental and spontaneous to be able to work with different materials, use multiple techniques and express my vision, ideas and thoughts into the form of painting. My innate love for art allows me to immerse myself in any artwork I am creating.
Being a professional artist, I experience a sense of freedom to express myself, I, generally dive into its creative patterns, blending colours, recreating within those patterns, as if there is so much to retain or capture. The flowing colours, its roughness of textures, sometimes smooth and soft application of colours layering talk about life’s many seasons we go through. Once we are attentive to our breaths we find ourselves alive to celebrate this journey of life with our Creator.
It’s a beautiful feeling to see my hands covered with paints that acknowledges a masterpiece is in the making which gives continuous inspiration to me to always look forward.

Participated in an Art Fair at National platform in Mumbai in Feb 2018. Displayed Paintings and received accolades and appreciation.

Participated at State Level Painting Competition in Uttarakhand, India and received an award in a young artist category.

Participated in many State and National Level Painting Exhibitions in Uttarakhand and New Delhi in India since 2012.
