Beenish Zaheer

Being a British citizen I have spent the last ten years between London, Canada and Pakistan. My international exposure and extensive travels have lasting effect on my art practice. I started painting full time during the pandemic and ever since developing my style that has evolved to a modernistic abstract painter.
As a modern abstract artist, my work explores the intersection of colour, form and emotion. I seek to transcend the boundaries of representation, allowing viewers to engage with the raw unfiltered energy of each piece. My process is deeply intuitive; responding to the rhythms and impulses as I engage and interact with the canvas. Through bold strokes, unexpected textures and layers of pigment, I aim to evoke a sense of movement, tension and harmony. The abstraction in my work invites multiple interpretations creating a dialogue between the piece and the observer, where each person brings their own experience to the visual narrative. Ultimately, my art is an exploration of the unseen-an invitation to delve into the intangible emotions that colour our existence.
