Michael Ahearne

I live and work in Devon on the Jurassic Coast so a lot of my inspiration comes from the surrounding area as well as nearby Cornwall and Dorset. I grew up as a surfer so the sea and surfing provide obvious subject matter as well as music.

I paint using oils, acrylic, water colours, pen and wash techniques, gouache and any other medium I can get my hands on!

I have a strong illustration background, having spent 5 years at art college.
I am a member of the Chartered Society of Designers which is the professional body in the UK for designers.
