Holly Bowler

"I work in a mixture of different Media including sculpture, installation, film, painting and performance. In the past I have worked as a group for live performances with The Unlimited Dream Company, in Lincoln. However, the general theme behind my own work is very politically influenced. In the past I have touched on how certain policies affect our country. Now my work is more concentrated on environmental politics and environmental Issues we face today.

There is a general interactive theme running throughout me work, allowing for people to become a part of it and take more from it than the conventional stand and stare gallery atmosphere. The work is meant to provoke thought and question certain aspects of society. As well as our role in society, as we are the ones who make the final say in all matters. If we believe something to be important, then we can make a difference to the world around us.
Environmental issues are something that should have more prominence in modern society, as it’s something that is effecting our way of life, in our lifetime. As an artist’s I use my work as a form of expression, to educate and make people more aware.
