Growing up in southern Wisconsin, I was exposed and influenced early on by the work of Frank Lloyd Wright and Georgia O’Keefe. I began my career in design with a Bachelor's of Science in Construction Administration from the University of Wisconsin and a Master's in Building Science and Management from Clemson University. Following college, I completed a three year internship and obtained my architectural license.
I'm very enthusiastic about creating figurative sculpture in various media although bronze is my favorite. Currently, I am a finalist for a large public sculpture featuring a three figure grouping in bronze. I create an original in wax or clay which is then realized in metal like bronze. This process is under my direction allowing me to refine the final piece. The state of mind and enchantment of sculpture is its ability to be a three-dimensional form that can be seen, felt and sensed, yet remain a creation of vivid energy.
