Judith Shaylor

I am an artist who strives to create original and exciting two-dimensional works of art, by working in different media and materials. I am predominantly a painter, but I also work in collage, photography, embroidery, and installation. The choice of media will often depend on the materials I have chosen to experiment with, the space in which I envisage the work to be in, or even the audience I am trying to have a conversation with artistically. Often I will start a new body of work with visual prompts. These may be in the form of collages I have made, photographs I have taken or from memories. The work will then grow and develop organically, which will result in a series of works.
