Matt Kaplinsky

I am a painter who explores natural history through impressionism.

Raised in north Texas, USA, I spent a great deal of time outdoors with my face near the soil or peering under and around plant life. Other times I wandered in and through creeks or local ponds, considering the flora and fauna, the color of the mud, live and dead leaves, or the texture of the soil. I have always had a deep appreciation for the environment globally.
