Gloria Reverol

Reverol was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela. At an early age she joins the Asociation of Musician and Artist of the Zulia State, where she starts studying painting and drawing. She gets gradued in humanities from High School. Later start lecturing on institutional assessment and treatment on a regular basis at the Instituto de Capacitación e Investigación (I.C.I), in Los Chorros, Caracas. In 1980, she focuses in her studies of Fine Arts and Literature Expression in the Secretaria de Cultura, Academia de Bellas Artes Neptalí Rincón of the Zulia State.

Independently of her studies of Fine Arts, she is apasionate about photography, by she start taking lessons at the Centro de Artes Gráficas (INCE) where she attends workshops on Pedro Villasmil's work at Centro de Bellas Artes de Maracaibo.

Studious of the philosophy and metaphysics, political analysis and writter.

She has exhibited in Venezuela, Portugal, Spain and France. Her art work is inspired in the colors and light of America, in the nature and it's mythology, having developed a very personal style.

1972: Collective art exhibition at Udon Perez High School, Maracaibo - Venezuela.

1984:

· Collective art exhibition by students from Secretaria de Cultura Art School at the Centro de Bellas Artes of Maracaibo - Venezuela.

· Ladscapes art exhibition at Mary's art shop, Maracaibo - Venezuela.

· Partcipates in a fundraising fair for the elderly at Hogar de Ancianos San José de la Montaña, sponsored by the Venezuelan American Center of Zulia (CEVAZ), in Maracaibo - Venezuela.

1986:

· Exhibition of wall paintings at Secretaría de Cultura, opening of II Bienal city of Maracaibo, Maracaibo - Venezuela.

· Individual art exhibition of wayuu landscapes at Spanish Social Sport Centre of Maracaibo, in Maracaibo - Venezuela.

1993: Individual art exhibition at Sala de Exposiciones Hispano 20, Santiago de Compostela - Spain.

1994: Individual art exhibition at Casa de la Cultura, Villagarcia de Arousa de Pontevedra - Spain.

1995:

· Tomiño Poetry Festival at Da Pedra Lake, Galicia - Spain.

· Collective Art Exhibition at Antigos Paços Hall in the council of Viana do Castelo - Portugal.
