Sandra Hudson

Sandra Hudson, born in Manchester, UK, has always had a passion for the creative world.

After moving to Madrid, Spain, she took up renewed interest in drawing and painting. Her next steps took her to Kobe, Japan, where she studied the art of Japanese calligraphy, raku pottery and continued her exploration of gold-leaf artworks, inspired by Japanese screens and cherry blossoms.

Her extensive travels have enabled her to tap into creativity as a survival force in diverse environments and continues to be inspired by her travels particularly in Japan and throughout Asia in her work.

Her connection to the fashion world leads her to take inspiration from the textiles industry, drawing particularly on Kimono motifs and her deep knowledge of Temple Shrine Markets in Kyoto and Osaka.

Educated in the arts (drawing, painting, photography, sculpture) at South Trafford College, she went on to study Fashion and Textiles at Kingston University and Loughborough University where she earned a BA Honors degree. Fueled by curiosity and the pursuit of personal and professional development, she began a career in the fashion industry.
