I grew up in a post colonial Libya of Italian rationalist villas and eerie colonnades surrounded by the Sahara and the Mediterranean. I have lived in Beirut, London and now in Cyprus.
I have always painted, as an architect I use painting to manipulate light, and color to create form.
I feel my paintings are observations of where I have lived, the atmosphere, the political catastrophes, the memory of places lived and lost.
