Patrick John Martin
Born Newbliss, Monaghan, Ireland to two very unique parents.
Father: Traveled the world extensively as a civil engineer, an inventor, entrepreneur and company director. Mother: From a long line of artists one notably being her uncle Hugh Lofting, better known for his writings, of Doctor Dolittle. In Canada she was an Actress, Artist and TV producer for CBC and BBC.
Patrick originally trained as a Sculptor creating woodland fantasy sculptures and a Model Maker recreating scale models of historical monuments for museums.
Moved to London with fellow artist Lorraine and their two children where they opened an Art and Picture Framing shop.
Having experienced life in London for some fifteen years with all its diverse cultures, scenes and life styles, have now returned home to quiet village life, ironically to explore some of those sub cultures through art, while at the same time renovating their very own 1850's Railway Station into a home and studio.
