Victor Chu

My name is Vic. The name given to me at birth was Hoàng Vũ which funnily translated to mean "Lord of Rain". I was born in Vietnam of central highland region. I moved to the United States when I was seven years old with my family. Growing up, art had always been my passion. I did a bit of everything from painting using all sort of medium to digital art, craft and even sculpting. Along with my love for art is my love for Buddhism and Shinto. I was fortunate to be exposed to Buddhism at a young age. I embarked on my journey into Buddhism at the age of thirteen, That was eight years ago. Buddhism continued to affect my life positively. To me, it is more of a philosophical approach to life which really enable me to gain a profound insight into the relationship with have with one another and the world and how we can empower this relationship positively. Shinto was something that I discovered for less than two years. Though it was originated from Japan, I find the philosophy behind Shinto to be very elevating. With Buddhism, Shinto really helps me learn appreciate everything and the world around me more and more everyday. To learn to respect nature and all creatures including human, and see the robust energy and beauty in all phenomenons....
