Viviana Gutierrez

Viviana Gutierrez was born in Bogota, Colombia in 1986. She had her first solo exhibition at the age of 14. She has had a few exhibitions both in Bogota and Melbourne (Australia) where she currently resides.

The artist started taking fine arts seriously from a very young age which enabled her to create a considerable volume of high quality output. She has explored a number of artistic styles like impressionism, expressionism, hiper-realism, cubism and her favourite, surrealism; has sumerged into themes like mythology, war, landscape and many others.

Much of Viviana's work deals with themes from her cultural inheritance, particularly from indigenous Colombian cultures. Through her work she attempts to raise people's consciousness about the importance of cultural and biological heritage.
