These new works by Abigail McDougall are inspired by the artist’s travels to botanical gardens in the U.K. and Morocco and to sinkholes and mangroves in Mexico. They focus on the reflected patterns of roots and tropical plants on the surfaces of fairly still bodies of water, explored with a harmonious and vivid colour palette.
