Maurizio Piovan

Maurizio Piovan is an artist from Veneto, born in 1953.
His painting style has matured in the Seventies, a historical time with big tumults and epochal changes.
His painting is energy, influenced by the Abstract Expressionism, whose language is expressed by
multi-material works, whose aesthetic value is in the color.
The surprising element is exactly the gesture quality and tightness, the chromatic harmonies' quantity and variety, a rare and innate knowledge, educated and matured with constant exercise. A painting skill which interprets Kandinsky, Burri, Afro, Rotchko, Alechinsky, Vedova, Dova in the best way.
Maurizio Piovan awarded a lot of prizes and exposed in important Italian and foreign galleries.
