Having grown up in a household with a fulltime artist, Kate inherited an incredible legacy of art from her father, renowned Australian illustrator and artist Stephen Graham. She has always had an interest in art and especially paintings, being drawn to the world that are created in the area of the canvas.
At university Kate majored in photography, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2003. In the years since, she built up a career as a graphic designer and illustrator in a number of advertising agencies across Sydney and Brisbane.
After moving to Brisbane in 2010 she soon began pursing her love of painting in conjunction with her father's art studio, culminating in a joint exhibition with him in 2014. In late 2017 Kate decided to end her corporate career, having reached the level of a senior graphic designer, in order to work fulltime in her creative studio, Anvil Artworks. Here she explores her passion for painting, while also working as a freelance designer and illustrator. Kate has exhibited in a number of galleries on the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, and her works can be found in a number of countries across Asia, Europe, and the US.
