Stella Rose Benson

I was an animation artist for many years. Films include; The Snowman & The Snowdog, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, A Goofy Movie, When The Wind Blows, The Beatrix Potter videos, and many more.
I moved to Cornwall from London in 2002 for new inspiration, and, due to the hand drawn animation industry moving over to computerised animation.
I have written, illustrated and produced two books called Sparkle Puss. The story is about a cat and a chocolate shop set in Penzance and further afield. I also produce flamboyant jewellery made with resin, rhinestones and found objects. I recycle furniture, mostly tables as yet and enjoy painting them with various design including nautical, sea themed, and seaside kitsch.
I am a chocolate anorak, passionate about ethical, good quality chocolate. I make my own high percentage truffles using organic ingredients. With the launch of my first Sparkle Puss book publication I gave away sparkly chocolate truffles, with edible glitter!
Over the years I have exhibited in London and Penzance, and sold my jewellery in London, Brighton, and FIORUCCI Verona. I currently draw most days and am working towards an exhibition.
