Florence Geens

Born and raised in Brussels and drawing since forever, Florence Geens, or Flo, is a multi talented artist. Graduate in visual and graphic arts from St-Luc in Brussels, her style evolves between painting, drawing, typography, calligraphy and photography. Graphic designer and passionate about fashion, she got the art bug 30 years ago from her grandfather Edgard. Her art is a direct translation of her feelings as a rookie mother in her series titled « where Is my mind ».

Her illustrations are sometimes dark, sometimes colorful depending of her state of mind. A happy mix between digital and real painting. A metaphor of the world we live in, where the lines seems to be blurred between virtual and reality. Blending techniques, working with markers, pencils or acrylic paint, creating has always been an essential outlet for her. Florence Geens offers you a glimpse into her world with structured, colored or angry brush strokes. In her work, we find a rhythm and an aesthetic harmony in the colors and the abstract forms whose interpretation is personal and different for everybody. A dip in her dreamy head in search of California and deep blue nights.
