32 year old artist and gender blurred personality. I’ve been painting all my life. I have a very dark but colorful collection of works. Some say it’s angry. Sometimes I agree. But they are also coping mechanisms that help me heal. I call it emotional realism and honesty. Each painting is a unique subconscious conflict and each has a unique resolution. Not every resolution is obvious. Nor does it have to be. Art is the opportunity to transcend norms of action and culture. In relation to gender in art (and life) I believe that we are both genders and we emphasize whatever we choose whenever we want. Each person is different. It’s also based on natural inclination, hormonally but also psychologically. But above all we should be able to be who we want to be. My art subtly dabbles in oneness amidst various polarities.

Sometimes I’ll have abstract imagery in my work. It can be as simple as a cat or it can be sexual gay desire, or it can be magical and spiritual in nature. Sometimes all of the above. Sometimes it’s irony. The imagery doesn’t matter so much. It’s the paint and the expression.

I studied painting in community college with a world class mentor for several semesters. He really allowed me to develop my style.
