I was born in the wild frozen north of scotland to the sound of howling winds and wolfsong (emanating from across the marshes in the captivity of the highland wildlife park). I was then seduced by the victorian lure of the oriental exoticism and did time in Tanzania, living on the fringes of the montain range known as the eastern arc(the Ulugurus to be precise) in a town known only as Morogoro. Spent time in Ngorongoro (vast volcanic crater 12miles across and 2000 feet deep), Zanzibar (the venice of africa with its arabesque guile), Iringa (the African highlands), Mufindi (utopian tea growing colonial Fortress) and The dark hearted untamed and untouched rainforests of legend named the Uzambaras. I then moved back to scotland and occasionally escaped to the western pacific Islands just off of Vancouver. Was exchanged to Transylvania (meaning literally the land beyond the forest) last year where folklore and parisian cafe culture still survives and was finally propelled back to the cantankerous and fetid streets of Dundee where I currently live(well..............sort of).
