At the core of Oscar Abraham Pabón’s practice are the intersections between art, architecture, and public space. His work unfolds across sculpture, installation, and works on paper, where the Modern Crafts collages play a central role as a site of formal and conceptual experimentation.

Developed from geometric patterns and constructed on diploma paper, these collages transform the ornamental into a critical field of inquiry, examining repetition, variation, and the cultural memory embedded in decorative forms. In dialogue with his carpet-based works, they extend a broader investigation into the relationship between abstraction, craft, and material culture.

Pabón approaches construction not only as a physical process, but as a conceptual framework through which material and symbolic structures shape lived experience, linking the singular condition of objects with broader questions of utopia, tolerance, and power.
