Pablo Wendel

Born 1980 in Tieringen, Germany.
In 1999 Pablo began an apprenticeship in Stone Sculpture and in 2002 he pursued this direction by studying sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart, where his Professors included Werner Pokorny, Udo Koch, Alexandra Ranner and Christian Jankowski. In 2007 Wendel studied as a foreign student at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, where he did his performance and video work \"Terracotta Warrior\".
From 2008 untill now Wendel has been studying in the MA Sculpture department at the Royal College of Art, London.

Pablos work is subtle and yet simultaneously radical. The art is made up of self-defined experiments, which identify boundaries and consequently transgress them. Through performative actions, which deal directly with their immediate environment, Wendels work interferes with conventional activity.
