Anroo Nikki

Born and raised in Indonesia, Anroo is a self-taught artist who is now based in Bali.
Her art style is constantly shifting and evolving from one medium to another as she explores various disciplines and inspirations.

As a child, she would draw all over books – sometimes even till the very last page. She would get so engrossed in her sketching that they would continue all the way to her study table. These pen-to-paper sketches usually took on the form of movie characters or famous celebrities. It was not until she moved to Singapore to study Mass Communications that she discovered the world of acrylic paints, murals and street art. This encouraged her to explore various styles and mediums.

Upon graduating, Anroo worked for a Singaporean television production company making television shows and documentaries. That work proved to be life changing as it lead her to the land of the gods it took no time at all for her to decide that it was where she wanted to live.

Life in Bali sparked a deep passion for the environment and encouraged Anroo to be eco-minded in all areas of her life and her art.

Since then, she has been exploring how to go beyond the norms of paints and canvas. She began teaching herself macramé using locally...
